Reimbursement for Primary Care Testing and Treatment
Funding has been allocated for the provision of integrated Hepatitis C Services. The POAC service will be the mechanism for distributing the funding to GPs who provide Hepatitis C treatment in a primary care setting.
HOW TO CLAIM FOR GENERAL PRACTICE AND URGENT CARE CLINICS:
A single extended consult per patient can be claimed - fixed fee applies. There is to be no patient co-payment charged.
GPs are encouraged to utilise the Chronic Hepatitis C pathway on the Auckland Regional HealthPathways website click here.
Submit a new referral via the POAC PMS using the diagnosis code "Hepatitis C Testing and Treatment"
